Not long after I moved onto my new job as a web designer within Norwich Union in April 2006, I decided that I really needed to work on my Photoshop skills as they were being called on my more within my new job. I had recently seen the website designed for Microsoft's new operating system vista, and was very impressed with their menu system and layout so decided to build my own version using photoshop.

Building this design was certainly a learning curve in using photoshop, but what I learnt was invaluable. I was not completely happy with the completed site as it felt very cold, being blue and having the white leaves floating down at the top of the page. In the end I decided I wanted to have a warmer site, initially I tried modifying the colours of the menu system and the top but I was never happy with what I did so moved onto doing yet another redesign, resulting in version 5.
